In the Valencian Community, named after the capital and Spanish province of the same name. Located on the Costa Blanca, moving from there to the interior.
Only a fifth of the vineyard is located near the coast.
From the Monastrell grape young wines are pressed here, which also drink young when tasting the best, as well as rosé wines, which are very popular with tourists and locals in the hot summers.
Among the other usual Red varieties such as Tempranillo and Garnacha have increasingly been joined in recent years by international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot or Pinot Noir.
